Build the data and operational capability that helps Tejas move faster, build smarter, and win.
Company summary
Tejas is a VC-backed, early-stage company crafting vertically integrated building-material brands for India’s top 2%, starting with the $3.5B specialty construction-materials market: tiles and wood adhesives, waterproofing, plywood, and natural stones.
We are backed by Foundamental VC and Matrix Partners (DeVC), alongside B2B leaders including Brijesh Agrawal (IndiaMART), Vasant Sridhar (OfBusiness and Oxyzo), Apurva Chamaria (Google), Yogesh Chaudhary (Jaipur Rugs), and leading Kearney partners. Tejas has launched its first brand, Kamdhenu Adhesive, in partnership with the Kamdhenu Group, one of India’s leading multi-category building-materials conglomerates.
About the role
Develop the analytical dashboard and operational foundation that helps Tejas build core processes from scratch. You will work at the intersection of market intelligence, commercial operations, and product strategy.
What you will own
- Build dashboards, monitor logistics trackers and factory output, and flag delays.
- Organise data, support hiring for data entry, and clean up pipelines.
- Keep task, material, and production trackers current, with the next three priorities clearly defined.
- Run founder check-ins and track supply-chain and cost-analysis projects.
- Produce a bird’s-eye view of key metrics, material inflows, dispatches, hiring pipeline, and new-supplier recommendations.
- Troubleshoot on the ground at warehouses, plants, experience centres, new locations, and events.
- Manage suppliers, source vendors, evaluate quotes, and improve operating workflows.
Your 30–60–90 day plan
- First 30 days: gain command of the products, suppliers, data, and workflows; deliver analysis that connects datasets to reveal a useful insight.
- First 60 days: systematise the chaos, identify a critical bottleneck, and deliver an end-to-end project with measurable business impact.
- First 90 days: independently spot opportunities, drive a project from hypothesis to recommendation, and become the reliable go-to person for data questions.
Ideal persona
- A doer who would fix a warehouse tracking system directly rather than delegate the problem.
- Highly detailed with data and able to connect numbers to the underlying story.
- Hungry to make systems better, quick to build a V1, and eager to iterate.
- Solution-obsessed, operationally rigorous, and comfortable in India’s building-materials ecosystem.
Beyond the paycheck
- Cash in hand of ₹80,000–₹1.5 lakh per month and CTC of ₹30–₹40 lakh, plus travel allowance and ESOPs.
- Fully sponsored business travel, typically 15–20 days each month.
- Adventure activities, milestone retreats, and a meritocratic path to rapid salary growth.
- In-house pool, foosball, PlayStation, office lunches, and monthly outings.
Training and location
- The role is based at our Mumbai or Bengaluru HQ.
- During the initial 18–24 months, you will have a dual-base training and operating immersion across Raipur and Nagpur for 15–20 days each month.
- You will move to the Mumbai or Bengaluru HQ thereafter.
